Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club Overview

Phoenix Golf and Country Club is one of the most prestigious courses in the Pattaya region. Located in a picturesque countryside location at Huay Yai, a 15-minute drive south of Pattaya, this 27-hole course is a favorite with the large expatriate community in the region.

This parkland style course is set amidst dense woodlands with beautiful rolling terrains. The three sets of nine holes are named: Mountain, Lake and Ocean. With distant views of Pattaya and the Gulf of Thailand from the elevated parts of the course create a real sense of gratification.

Although Phoenix might not be more difficult than some of the championship course in the region at first glance, the narrow tree-lined fairways with strategically placed bunkers will catch you out if you are not hitting the ball straight. The greens are quite and fairly easy to read apart from a few undulations along the way.
You won’t find lots of water until you play the Lakes 9-holes, and then you will need to be careful. Cutting its way through beautiful bamboo and eucalyptus trees, the landscapes and natural abundance make the course so fulfilling to play.

♦♦Signature Hole: 9th Hole, Par-5, 493 Yards
The 9th hole at Phoenix GC is known as its signature hole. This par-5 is only 493-yards in length so it’s far from the longest or most difficult. Form the tee of this dogleg-left layout you can enjoys views looing out towards the sea and mountains in the distance. To make the green in 2 shots, you must hot between 270-280 yards from the tee just to give you a chance with your second shot and an eagle opportunity.
